Akadema Professional Design Series

Every Akadema Professional Series glove is designed for selected positions. Each Akadema Professional glove is created with the exclusive intention of elevating a player's performance on the field.

Akadema's Professional Series gloves are only made from top quality U.S. Steerhide. Akadema only utilizes leather from the back and the shoulder of the steer for a stronger, thicker glove. The laces of the Akadema Professional Series gloves utilize premium ¼ inch rawhide for their laces. The gloves are not pre-oiled, thus the Akadema Professional Series gloves are lighter and stronger for even the most particular professional player.

Akadema Precision Kip Design Series

The leather within Akadema's Precision Kip Series gloves is 20% lighter and denser grained than steerhide. Akadema's Kip leather is harvested in Europe and tanned in Japan. Akadema's Precision Kip Series gloves are more flexible, break in easier, and are stronger than the glove lines of Akadema's competitors.

Akadema Reptilian® Design Series

Akadema's patented Reptilian® Design Series by Akadema Professional is a blend of knowledge meeting progress. This innovative web, pocket, and near finger-less design has many features that isolate it from the normal ball glove. The look and performance of Akadema's Reptilian® Design Series will make all other baseball gloves obsolete.

The Reptilian's near-fingerless design, which makes it one of the few near fingerless leather gloves out there, establishes a natural air pocket which acts as a shock absorber for the initial ball impact. Thus, Akadema's patented Reptilian® Design Series makes the glove to hand transfer smoother and faster. The Praying Mantis® catcher's mitt, by Akadema, is the most innovative catcher's mitt ever to hit the market. Akadema's Praying Mantis® catcher's mitt was developed with many unique features that set it apart from the competition. Akadema's new patent pending Stress Wedge technology, which is located between the index finger and thumb, gives the Akadema Praying Mantis® catcher's mitt the shock absorbing protection the competition can't match. Akadema's Stress Wedge technology protects the catcher's hand against injury and sting when receiving the ball. The Praying Mantis® catcher's mitt, by Akadema, also offers two additional Finger Hammocks, which permit the catcher's fingers to be firmly positioned and more secure in the glove.
