Designed to fulfill the needs of the competitive fastpitch softball player, the Akadema FastPitch Softball Design Series is created to heighten the intensity of play on the field. The Akadema FastPitch Softball Design Series is hand-crafted of U.S. Steerhide throughout the pocket and webbing, while the back of the softball glove features exclusive AkademaLyte leather, making the softball glove lighter and allowing for a faster break-in period, with a more manageable feel. Smaller finger stalls are used to reduce the distance between the thumb and index finger and the Akadema Grasp Clasp Wrist System allows for better glove control. The Akadema FastPitch Softball Design Series is endorsed by softball stars Julie Smith, Crystl Bustos, and Monica Abbott.

Akadema's patented Reptilian® Design Series by Akadema is a blend of knowledge meeting progress. This innovative web, pocket, and near finger-less design has many features that isolate it from the normal softball glove. The look and performance of Akadema's Reptilian® Design Series will make all other softball gloves obsolete.

Akadema's Reptilian® near-fingerless design establishes a natural air pocket which acts as a shock absorber for the initial ball impact. The Praying Mantis® softball catcher's mitt, by Akadema, is the most innovative softball catcher's mitt ever to hit the market. Akadema's Praying Mantis® softball catcher's mitt was developed with many unique features that set it apart from the competition. Akadema's new patent pending Stress Wedge technology, which is located between the index finger and thumb, gives the Akadema Praying Mantis® softball catcher's mitt the shock absorbing protection the competition can't match. Akadema's Stress Wedge technology protects the catcher's hand against injury and sting when receiving the ball. The Praying Mantis® softball catcher's mitt, by Akadema, also offers two additional Finger Hammocks, which permit the catcher's fingers to be firmly positioned and more secure in the glove. Akadema's Double-sided Slim Padding and Akadema's Double Flexhinge, which makes the softball glove snap closed when the ball enters the glove, allows for an increased pocket size and makes it easier for the catcher to hang onto the ball. In addition, Akadema's distinctively designed shape allows the throwing hand easier access into the pocket. Easier access results in a quicker glove to hand transfer and faster times to second base.

Akadema's Fastpitch Funnel™ Softball glove is the 2005 – 2006 game day glove of choice for gold medalist Crystl Bustos. Akadema's Funnel™ softball glove is 12½ inches long, has an open back, and has a Double T-Web design. Crystl Bustos has joined the Akadema team as an advisor and the Akadema Funnel™ softball glove meets all of her stringent specifications. Crystl Bustos was a 2000 and 2004 gold medalist, was on the 2000 and 2005 Team USA, and the 2001 WPSL Gold Team.
